Free Math Center Activity Your Students Will Love!

I am always looking for creative ways to teach number recognition during math center time, so I want to share this activity with you!

Showing numbers with geoboards is a fun and engaging counting activity. In Kindergarten, we want students to recognize number names, count and write numbers. There’s a ton of activities to teach these skills so that you can add this activity to your math center rotation.

For this activity, you need to print, laminate, and cut out the cards. I like to put the number cards and rubber bands in a small bin for students to grab a card and start working quickly. I also add dry erase markers so students can trace the numbers at the bottom of the page.

What I love about this activity is that students can do it independently, and it’s educational. They will learn how to build, read, write, and count up to that number. It’s perfect for any time of the school year too.
